Beneficiation of niobium and titanium carbides from pyrochlore ore via carbothermic reduction followed by magnetic separation was investigated in this work. During carbothermic reduction, Nb, Ti and Fe oxides within the pyrochlore ore could be reduced into NbC, TiC and metallic iron, respectively.
